Serious Privacy Concerns
This application collects patient name, DOB, diagnoses, CPT codes and sends an UNENCRYPTED email containing this information to anywhere you specify. This is clearly in violation of Federal HIPAA laws. A physician in the hospital I work for was fired for emailing protected health information. The fines associated with HIPAA violations are no joke. I like the basic concept of this application, but the way protected information is transmitted is a non-starter for me.
A must have to replace paper superbills!
I started using this app as a replacement for my superbills I used to drag around with me all day, and sometimes losing them.. This app did it for me, I created a copy of my superbill in seconds using favorites CPTs and ICD9 and capture the encounters on the fly in the office and on the road, in nursing homes etc. The quick CPT and ICD searches are fantastic, overall design is easy to follow. We just send all encounters now by email to our billing manager. All mds in my group switched to this from paper superbills and so far loved it..I think there is a need to integrate this app with our EMR, I already sent them a question when its going to be available.. Great app!
Too many problems
Had too many issues with the appi and was costing more time and money then what it was worth. I would spend time loading patient information and the appi would crash losing all the data I put in. Then I realized the number of patients I saw was different then the number of emails I recieved. For some reason it would say the patient visit was sent to email but wasn't. I had to go through all the patient visits to figure out which ones didn't send.
Needs serious fixes!!
